RAC

CH-CH-CH-Changes

Please play this track while you read this post!!!!

RAC is about to undergo a couple changes. A lot of these are basically how the collective has evolved and it’s about time the outward appearance reflected that. We’ll be launching our brand new site within the next couple of weeks.

RAC Remixes:

It’s been pretty obvious that I (Andre) have been doing most of the remixing lately. Andrew has moved more into engineering/producing/mixing records (Ra Ra Riot, Princeton, Kisses). For the RAC Maury fans out there, no worries. You’ll still see remixes from time to time. But on the whole, I’ll be taking on most of the remixing work.

RAC Production:

As previously mentioned, Andrew has moved more and more into record production. Last summer, he recorded The Static Jacks “Laces” EP, made a trip out to LA with Chris Walla to assist in the recording of Tegan and Sara’s “Sainthood,” mixed The House Floor’s stunningly unique debut album “Warship,” Co-Produced and engineered the highly anticipated forthcoming Ra Ra Riot full length album “The Orchard,” and is currently tracking Princeton’s second album. We’re opening the idea of RAC into production, and Andrew will be involved a lot here.

RAC Media:

This area will focus on TV, advertising, film, gaming. We’ve been doing a ton of this lately and like this it will be much more apparent while having a more dedicated section of the website.

RAC DJ:

We’re bringing in somebody new for this. His name is Karl Kling and he’ll be travelling the world with me to bring our music to the dancefloors. We already DJ’ed in Brazil and we’re gearing up to tour throughout the US and Europe. We’ll do a more formal introduction soon. Book us?

RAC Asia:

This is still very much in an early form, but we’re gonna bring in a couple people to focus on j-pop, k-pop remixes. We’ll definitely announce more on this in the upcoming future.

RAC Records:

A record label is something we’ve wanted to do for years and now is the time to put that in motion. We’re starting a 7” singles label. Free mp3 + 7” vinyl for true fans. We’ll announce our first release very soon. Shhh, it’s a secret for now.

RAC Fashion:

Our art director Akutou is designing a number of tshirts that we’ll have for sale on our site.

In Conclusion:

The initial idea behind RAC was solely tied to remixing and as things have expanded far past what we intended, it’s simply time to readjust. We are still a collective, we still hold the same standards of quality, and we’re still trying to take over the world.
