Here at RAC a lot of our work is remixing, but from time to time we post about other material that we’ve been working on.
Last summer I mixed this really cool album for an indie/island/disco act called Kisses. Its Jesse Kivel’s side project (from the band Princeton) with female vocal sidekick Zinzi Edmundson. It conjures a white-tuxedo ‘n sunglasses, cruise-ship journey. Mellow bass, swirling synths, spring reverb’d drum machines, sparkling guitars, and INSANELY catchy, suave melodies. the album has a lot of uplifting jams, moody heartbreak songs, and even some 80′s dark pop vibes (a la Joy Division, The Cure).

Their lead single “Bermuda” is seemingly on fire right now among the blogs. The album should be releasing later this year, entitled The Heart Of The Nightlife. Enjoy!
